Before you start any sort of physical activity, it’s important you warm up effectively.
That doesn’t mean you have a million press-ups and exhausting yourself before you get down to business.
What it does means is you need to do a functional warm-up that will prepare you for the activity ahead. This will help you get the most out of the session, and prevent injury.
There are a bunch of ways you can do warm-up, but one of our favourite ways to warm up at our academy is with animal drills.
Animals drills are a lot of fun and can give you a full-body workout. Even better, the animal drills we use accurately represent some of the movements you’ll use in Jiu Jitsu.
